The moment summer arrives, there will be many beauty related worries that creep in our minds. This is the season that affects our skin, hair and more. Therefore, it is very important and required to take special care of ourselves. Here are the beauty tips for summer season.

1. Wash your face:

Wash your face at least 4 times a day with a mild cleanser. Avoid cream based cleansers (unless you have very dry skin!) because they tend to leave your skin oily. Use a gel based scrub at least twice a week to get rid of the tan and dead skin cells. The exfoliation will help to keep your face look smooth and clear.

2. Oil your hair:

Oil you hair and let the oil soak in for just about an hour before you shampoo. After you shampoo, ensure that you deep condition your hair at least twice a week to keep your hair healthy and free from dirt

3. Pamper your face with packs:

Stick to homemade packs, because they are the best, not just in summers, but all year round! Use a mix of yogurt, sandalwood powder, tomato juice and aloe vera gel. This mix will not only cleanse the skin, but also add a glow to your face.

4. Stepping out:

Ensure that you carry some facial blotting paper to soak up the excess oil, a sunscreen lotion, wet wipes and a lip balm when you step out. Apply the lip balm frequently so that your lips are hydrated. Apply a sunscreen if you are outdoors and reapply at least once in four hours if your work demands you to be outdoors.

5. Add the glow to your face:

Want to look fresh instantly? Use a face spritz to add that instant glow to your face. Remove the excess spritz with some blotting paper to reveal smooth and glowing skin.

6. Be hydrated:

Drink lots of water, fresh juices and consume loads of vegetable salads and fruit salads. Consuming fresh fruits, juices and veggies will clear your body from toxins and will also keep you hydrated. It is best to avoid oily, deep fried and spicy foods in the summer because they will tend to accumulate oil on your skin.

7. Stick to light shades in makeup:

If you love makeup, then use light shades for your eyes and lips, giving it the summer look. Avoid dark shades of make up because they will look very gaudy in the summer.

8. Protect your eyes and hair:

If you are going to be out for a long time, ensure that you wear shades to protect your eyes and a scarf or a hat to protect your hair, face and eyes. Carry a hair spritz to tame the untidy mane and nourish your hair instantly.

9. Don the right style:

If you have long hair, roll it up in a simple bun or keep it tied so that it does not fall on the nape of your neck. And if you are ready to experiment, don a short haircut to keep yourself cool this summer.

Try this home-made bleach for your skin this summer – Mix some curd with into gram flour (besan). Add the juice of half a lemon to it and blend till it forms a smooth paste. Apply on your face and neck for 15 minutes and wash off with cool water. Experience a clean and glowing skin.
